This week Allergicos, we're reviewing something that, whilst it hasn't been on the market that long has already become a market leader: THIS Isn't Bacon. For a company which is a youngster on the vegan/plant-based food scene, this product has enjoyed a huge surge in popularity since launching, but does it live up to the hype?
As a meat-eater, bacon is something I'm very fond of so I was intrigued by this product and how much it tasted like the real thing. In short: it was amazing. The flavour was really balanced and meaty and worked perfectly both in the traditional fry-up and sandwich settings bacon normally occupies. I would even go so far as to say I'd happily replace actual bacon with this stuff.
Currently THIS Isn't Bacon is available in most major supermarkets, this pack was bought from TheVeganKind supermarket priced at £3.09.
