Cake, for many a joy to behold but for anyone not eating animal products, through dietary or allergy reasons it can be a devil to find stuff you can eat. I've found myself dismissing half the stalls at food festivals so as to not get my hopes up before now. So when I came across this tiny stand at High Street Kensington Tube Station I was ready to count it out, but I'm an optimist and I like cake so I went and asked them if they had egg-free cakes. The fact I'm writing this should tell you the answer they gave me.
Immediately I was shown the sizeable range of vegan cupcakes they had on the stall and they weren't just your average chocolate business either, there was a huge selection.

So after much deliberation, I went for the pistachio, chocolate and cherry one. I was a bit apprehensive as I've had vegan cake which has been so good it's made me do a double-take, but also one incident when it tasted like a bath sponge. Thankfully, this cupcake was the former of the two, tons of tasty icing, rich chocolate flavours and a cherry sauce surprise in the middle. A brilliant cake and it was a bit pricey, but this is London we're talking about.
Rather conveniently, this stall is situated just by the exit barriers from the tube which I will walk past every day this week so I may have to review a few more!

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!
After returning for some ahem important market research, I also tried the vegan chocolate fudge and the lemon and raspberry muffins which proved just as good as their other cake companions!
